Our Wines

Winemaking Philosophy

We strive to make the finest, small lot, single varietal wines possible. It takes time to achieve the level of quality that we demand for our finished wines, so predicting when the wines will be ready for bottling and release is not an exact science. In all cases, we wait for the wine to achieve its full potential in the aging process before moving it into the bottle. Once bottled, we typically allow the wines to settle in for several months before we release them.

The information below is based on our best estimates as of the status and outlook for our wines as of October 2009. We will keep you updated on the status of our wines as they progress via our website and newsletter.

2008 Pinot Noir — our first Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands, Doctor's Vineyard) was bottled at the end of August. We expect to bottle age this wine for ~ 6 months prior to release. We will be bottling a second Pinot Noir (Lone Oak Vineyard -- also from the Santa Lucia Highlands) later this year in November. Stay tuned ....!
