A superb Syrah featuring garnet purple color with dry-yet-fruity medium-full body. The wine is fruit-forward with soft, fine-grained tannins and just the right level of acidity to give it a very smooth mouth feel. This wine will continue to improve with age but is already delicious.
SILVER AWARD WINNER! 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Features a dark purple/garnet color with toasty oak notes on the nose. 50% of the fruit comes from "old vines" that are more than 108 years old! Tasting reveals jammy cherry/berry fruit with a touch of vanilla, nice acidity, and medium tannins, ending with a fruity, full body and cherry sandalwood finish.
BEST OF CLASS! 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
This 2017 Petite Sirah is from the same vineyard in Dry Creek that we obtain our award-winning Teldeschi Zinfandel fruit. Deep, rich dark color with wonderful aromatic nose. Lots of nice fruit going on and even a hint of pepper. Nice vanillar finish speaks to the aging in oak. This wine is ready to drink now and will get better with age. Whether enjoyed alone, with your favorite grilled steak, a hearty pasta or a decadent chocolate dessert, this beautiful Petite Sirah is not to be missed.
A delicious and easy to drink Barbera from Hannah's Vineyard in Amador County. Nice dark red in color with pleasing nose with ripe fruits. Hints of vanilla on the finish. A very versatile red - enjoy with a meal or all by itself.
GOLD MEDAL WINNER! 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Delicious single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from the Russian River Valley. Oak aging delivers extra body to this wine.
A delicious Pinot Noir from the beautiful Lone Oak Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA.
Rhapsody is our very popular blend of Marsanne and Roussanne. We take 50% of each grape and ferment and age them separately. The Marsanne is aged in stainless steel while about 33% of the Roussanne is aged in stainless with the balance in neutral oak. The 2 wines are then blended together right before bottling. The result is a delicious dry white wine that features floral and honeysuckle notes.
Our 2012 Rhapsody was extremely popular, but unfortunately the vineyard was sold and we spent 4+ years looking for another vineyard that produced these 2 varietals. We finally found the Bonfiglio Vineyard in Mendocino County, liked what we saw and took the plunge! The result is our 2017 Rhapsody - enjoy!
